Dr Wander performs a range of minor surgical procedures in a fully equipped clinical room at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth.
This includes assessment and removal of skin lesions such as moles, cysts, lipomas and skin tags, as well as joint and soft-tissue injections.
Every procedure begins with a careful consultation to confirm the diagnosis, explain the options and agree the most suitable approach.
From £250 depending on the size, number and complexity of lesions. Histology, dressings and follow-up are charged separately.
Moles, cysts, lipomas and skin tags removed under local anaesthetic.
Samples sent for laboratory analysis to confirm diagnosis.
Steroid injections for shoulder, knee and other joints where appropriate.
Our Approach
Minor surgery is only performed after a proper assessment. Suspicious lesions are referred appropriately and, where indicated, samples are sent for histology. Consent, aftercare and scarring are discussed openly before any procedure.
What to Expect
An initial consultation and clinical assessment
A clear explanation of the procedure, risks and scarring
The procedure carried out under local anaesthetic
Aftercare instructions and follow-up review
Frequently Asked
Where clinically appropriate, removed tissue is sent for histology to confirm the diagnosis and rule out any concerning features. Results are discussed with you at follow-up.
Any procedure that breaks the skin can leave a scar. Dr Wander will discuss the likely cosmetic outcome and, for cosmetically sensitive areas, may recommend referral to a plastic surgeon.
